Exam Results 2007
A and AS Level
A level results at Warwick School are the best ever with 60% of boys gaining the top A grade and 84% of results were at A or B grades. 47 boys gained 3 or more A grades. Ralston Leung gained 6 A grades and 13 other boys gained 5 A grades. At a time when some commentators are decrying A levels and speak about introducing an A* grade for those who score 90% or more, it is worth emphasising that 89 maximum marks were recorded. Alex Mo gained 10 maximums, whilst Ryan McCrickard and Eric Lai gained 9 and 7 respectively. Virtually all boys won their university places.
At AS level, too, results were better than last year with 52 boys gaining 3 A grades or more. Eight boys, Simon Cheng, Edward Freeman, Jonathan Lindsell, Oscar Robinson, Richard Wilson, Matthew Winters and Shaun Lu each gained 6 A grades, whilst Head Boy, Olinga Tahzib, achieved 10 maximum scores as well as his 6 A grades.
The Headmaster is delighted with the results and has applauded boys and teachers for their superb efforts.
These results prove once again that boys of all abilities fulfil their potential at Warwick School.
GCSE
At GCSE level results were good with nearly 70% of entries recorded at A* and A - the national equivalent statistic for boys is 19.6%. Outstanding results were achieved by Thomas Jee (11A*s) whilst William Todman and Ho Sit gained 10 A*s. Amedeo Cappuccio, however, obtained an amazing 13A*s. Despite these very good results we are surprised, however, by the number of A*s boys received this year which is significantly lower than that of last year. With the Edexcel markers we shall be making further urgent enquiries into this over the next few weeks. Some remarks have already confirmed errors and more A* are beginning to come in!
