Scholarships and Bursaries
Senior School
Governors Scholarships (11+, 12+, 13+, 16+)
Scholarships are available to reward academic excellence and talent.
Scholarships are awarded up to the value of 25% of fees based on the results of the entrance examinations and interview. For existing Sixth formers, the scholarships are awarded based on GCSE results and school reports.
Warwick Town Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is available to boys from state schools and living within the town of Warwick (CV34 postcode).
This is awarded up to the value of 25% of fees based on the results of the entrance examination.
Governors Music Scholarships at 11+ and 13+
Awarded up to the value of 25% of fees based on musical ability and potential with a satisfactory level of achievement in the entrance examination.
6th Form Science Scholarships
The Ogden Trust sponsors pupils of outstanding scientific ability to attend Warwick School in the sixth form.
Awarded up to 100% fees, funded jointly by the Ogden trust and Warwick School.
For pupils educated entirely in state sector, achieving a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade A, including maths.
The successful candidate must study maths and physics at A level and intend to read a science related degree at University.
Joint parental income should be less than £40k.
Bursaries
Warwick Foundation Places
The school benefits from a scheme offering the possibility of free places based on financial need.
These awards are offered on a sliding scale dependant upon parental income and subject to results of entrance examination and interview.
Parents wishing to apply for a foundation award will be required to submit details of their financial circumstances, in full confidence.
Warwick Town Foundation Places
These are offered as per the Warwick Foundation Places above to those living within the CV34 postcode area.
Junior School
Choral Scholarships
Two Choral Scholarships, each to the value of £1200 per annum, may be awarded each year to boys, aged between 7 and 11 years on 1st September, who are either entering or who are in attendance at Warwick Junior School and the Choir of St. Mary’s Church, Warwick. A Scholarship is valid for the duration of a chorister’s career in both Warwick School and St. Mary’s Church Choir unless he is awarded a Governors’ Scholarship or a Warwick Foundation Place on entry to the Senior School in which case the value of the Scholarship is reviewed. Pensions of not less than £600 per annum and not more than £1200 per annum, the value of which is determined by Gross Family Income, are awarded to ex-choristers remaining in the school but no longer singing in the Church Choir.
Music Scholarships
Two J.M.A. Marshall Music Scholarships are available to be awarded to boys entering the Upper Two’s (Year 5) in the Junior School. The awards may be made to existing members of Warwick School or to new entrants to the School and are to the value of 50% of the music tuition fees for two years for one instrument.
The values of Scholarships and Pensions are reviewed annually in the light of changes in School fees.
