Warwick School's "Little Big Band" win Gold

Warwick’s School’s “Little Big Band” was delighted to win a Gold Award at the finals of the National Concert Band Festival, the UK’s largest Wind and Big Band festival on the 19th and 20th April.

Over two days 2000 young people who play in either Concert Bands or Big Bands took part in a fantastic celebration of music making. They travelled to Warwick School from right across the UK – from Cornwall to Aberdeenshire – to take part in the Festival, which presented Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for musical achievement.

Trevor Barr, Director of Music at Warwick School said, “It is fantastic for Warwick School and the town of Warwick to have hosted a musical event of this scale. During this weekend we have seen countless talented young people making music to an incredibly high standard, and this has taken time, effort, practice, commitment and determination".
