This year’s visit to the island of Cyprus close to Mount Olympus, the highest place on the island, was a joint venture between Warwick School CCF and Hereford Cathedral School CCF.
The cadets visited Episkopi, Akrotiri, Nicosia & Dhekelia where the day time temperatures were often just below 40OC! They also paid a visit to the U2 American secret spy plane mission known as Olive Harvest. They all experienced flying an aircraft, visited Ground Operations in RAF Akrotiri and were shown around the aircraft Control Tower and then treated to a soaking via the RAF Fire Service located nearby.
