(13/03/2008)Warwick School's "Little Big Band" win Gold
Warwick’s School’s “Little Big Band” was delighted to win a Gold Award at the finals of the National Concert Band Festival, the UK’s largest Wind and Big Band festival on the 19th and 20th April.
Over two days 2000 young people who play in either Concert Bands or Big Bands took part in a fantastic celebration of music making. They travelled to Warwick School from right across the UK – from Cornwall to Aberdeenshire – to take part in the Festival, which presented Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for musical achievement.
(13/03/2008)Latest League Tables Place Warwick School 87th in Country
The Financial Times have just published their Top 1,000 Schools Tables.
These tables focus on academic achievement as defined by 'core' subject A-level results (as set out by Cambridge University). Around 2,200 schools in England were eligible for inclusion with the tables containing the Top 1000.
The Warwick School ranking has gone up 55 places from last year and we are now ranked 87th in the Country. This makes us the highest ranked school in Warwickshire and the third highest in the West Midlands.

Saturday 8th March was the date for the UK Finals of RoboCup Junior. After holding the UK title for the Rescue challenge for the last two years the senior members of the robotics club had their eye on the soccer challenge this year.
(11/03/2008)Warwick narrowly lose Daily Mail Cup Semi-Final
Last year was the first time in 14 years that Warwick School reached the semi-final stage of the Daily Mail Cup and just one year later we made it that far again. Despite a herculean effort from the Warwickian XV, the loss of 2 key players took its toll. Warwick were unable to steal a victory and lost 10 - 6 to Wellington College. Wellington now play St Benedicts, Ealing in the final at Twickenham. However we must applaud the tremendous achievement made by our boys and staff in reaching the semi-final.

We were honoured to welcome the highly distinguished politician, author, and diplomat, Lord Hurd of Westwell. After serving as Edward Heath’s Private Secretary and Political Secretary, and as an MP, Lord Hurd spent 16 years in government, where he held the demanding offices of Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary.
Lord Hurd gave a fascinating lecture on "A Life in Politics".
