Classics
The Classics Department is one of the largest in the region, comprising 5 teachers and offering Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation within the official school curriculum all the way up to A-Level.
In September 2008, we moved to a new centrally located, purpose built facility and is now housed in generous accommodation containing 4 dedicated Classics teaching rooms, a Classics staff room and a book store. Classrooms and public areas are colourfully decorated with pupil work and commercial displays.
There is a steady flow of classicists applying for places at the best universities in the country and we normally have at least one successful Oxbridge applicant per year. Enthusiasm for Classics is high and the department is a happy one.
