Charity Success and new opportunities

Brian, JJ and Will F

From the first day in the school to the last assembly everyone is aware that they are very fortunate and each one of the school community has a responsibility to help others. It is an unwavering message year on year.

The swimmers contribution for the past 6 years now totals some £40,000. A great effort from a small group within the school community. From their efforts in the 100 Mile Swim, the recent English Channel successes and Soroptimist Swim Relay efforts the swimmers have through their determination and dedication raised significant sums of money.

Who do we support?
Two charities have benefited most in recent times - the British Heart Foundation and this past year the Acorns Children's Hospices. The charities to be supported are proposed by the swimmers. They are based on providing new local community resources and supporting those in need.

If you have a favoured Charity and you would like us to support it then please contact PN and the Deputy Head Master Mr Phelan who chairs the School Charity Commission.
