Library Update

While the physical library is closed, Mrs DeVouge-Bernards continues working on giving boys a library experience from home.

There are new books on the eBooks platform that can be accessed through Firefly. Years 7, 8, 9 have reading lists on Firefly made through Padlet. They can like books that they’ve read and look interesting. Books will also continue to be added to it.
If any book recommendations are needed, do let me know and I will be more than happy to recommend books!

Book clubs are continuing to run for Years 7, 8, 9. If a student wants to join just pop me an email.

Remember that Warwickshire Public Libraries offer a fantastic digital service. If a student attends a school in Warwickshire, they can join!

Follow the Library Twitter account @WarwickSchLib for book ideas and reading activities you can participate with at home!

Reading Challenge

This week the library is issuing its weekly first reading challenge! Studies show that family engagement in reading is key to children and teens building a lifelong reading habit. This week Mrs DeVouge-Bernards wants you to talk about what you’re reading as a family. This doesn’t have to be a fiction book, but anything interesting that you may have recently read. Mrs DeVouge-Bernards would love to know what you and your family are reading so do email the library (library@warwickschool.org) and let her know or you can also use Twitter by tagging @WarwickSchLib.

The Warwick School Library has been continuing with virtual book clubs and it’s been wonderful to hear what the boys are reading. Mrs DeVouge-Bernards has also started a Care Home Book Club. Do get in touch if you’d like to get involved.
