A story with a happy ending!

Some 1000+ books have had a long and arduous journey.....but eventually have reached their new home.

Last year Warwick School’s charity committee collected unwanted books from students and their families across the school. Some 1000+ books have had a long and arduous journey including spending a long time sat in local customs, where a fee was unfortunately required to be paid to secure their release. They have now eventually reached their final destination, The Andrew Grene High School in Haiti, the School of Sunshine.

The charity team, which is made up of pupils and staff at Warwick School, wanted to send as many books out to The Andrew Grene High School to expand their library and contribute to the education of the local children. These children believe they are incredibly privileged to have an education, to go to school each day and to be provided with a hot meal.

Warwick School will be launching their next edition of ‘Generation Rising’, a collection of poetry written by students, and all monies raised will also be donated to the Andrew Grene Foundation charity. Jane Holden from the charity will be the guest speaker at their launch evening.
