  • Administration Assistant (Transport Supervisor)

    Salary £16,354 rising to a maximum of £18,032

    37 hours per week; term-time only (plus 4 weeks)

    This is an exciting opportunity to appoint someone who is motivated by supporting their local community in joining our large, friendly team of Estates & Operations professionals.  During term-time we operate 10 school bus routes which you will help ensure their safe access / exit to and from the schools; whilst also making sure the Traffic Assistants are supervised in their roles.

    You will be working towards the streamlining of our fleet compliance checks and records.  We have 8 minibuses and a further 8 other vehicles.  Anyone with a reasonable understanding of what it takes to keep your own car on the road (tyre pressure & tread checks / oil level / wipers etc), would be considered.  The Department also manages the quotation / booking of a substantial number of coaches for sports fixtures / trips each term for the two senior schools which you will oversee along with your line-manager.  The successful candidate will need to be happy to work outside in all weathers but equally, be a consummate office administrator (as some of your hours will be spent supporting the Resources Office) with an eye for detail.

    09:00am – 18:00pm (ideally) with one-hour unpaid lunch

    Job Share considered (core-hours must be covered 09:00am to 1:00pm & 2:00pm to 6:00pm)

    This is an exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced administrator who is motivated by delivering the highest levels of customer service, within our large, friendly team of Estates & Operations professionals.  During term-time we operate 10 bus routes over a 30-mile radius on a daily basis, plus trialling ‘Late-Bus’ services on 3 popular routes.  You will be responsible for ensuring this provision runs smoothly and in a timely fashion, whilst ensuring the car parks across the Campus cope with the many staff/visitors/events that use these areas each day.

    The successful candidate will use their supervisory experience to develop and lead their team to achieve their goals, ensuring that all our customers receive first-class service.   Using Microsoft Office and computerised systems / software packages s/he will able to robustly analyse data and monitor service provision.   This is ideally suited to someone with excellent oral and written communication skills to present information to a wide range of both internal and external customers and who enjoys working in a busy and professional team, where attention to detail and organisational skills are key to success.

    40 hours per week; full-time - 52 weeks

    5 over 7 days on a shift basis between the hours of 07.00am – 19.00pm.

    We are seeking to appoint an Operations Site Operative to support our large, friendly team of Estates & Operations Professionals.

    • Duties will include cover for opening up and closing premises; checking on the security of the school for the Operations Supervisor when required.
    • To monitor and undertake room set ups in line with requirements notified via the online room booking systems (where applicable) or via other communications methods.
    • Weekly compliance checks completed on time for Fire Alarms & Water flushing.
    • You will ensure all log books for weekly and monthly checks are completed correctly in a timely fashion.
    • Report all defects to the Operations Supervisor and contact engineers as instructed.
    • You will take pride in your work and be willing to undertake training as necessary.
