Warwick School was part of a team that have set a World Record for the most players in a hockey exhibition match.
The successful Guinness World Record attempt was a monumental ‘team’ effort, both on and off the pitch, led by Warwick Hockey Club. Photographs, video footage, witness statements, scorers’ logs all had to be provided to ratify the attempt.
The previous record was 257 players and the Warwick match saw 367 players taking part. Players came from over 35 different organisations, including a very large number from Warwick School and King’s High School. Players ranged in age from 4 to 86 and included Anna Toman a current England Women’s Team member and our own Mr Wade, a current England Over 40s veteran.
The final score was 35-16 in favour of the blue team over the yellow team.
