U15s to join 1st XV at Twickenham

U15s win against Ivybridge see them through to the NatWest Finals.

Warwick U15 rugby team is through to the NatWest final at Twickenham, after winning at Allianz against Ivybridge Community College.

Great, strong start by Warwick taking the lead by 5-0 after a try from Matt Rigby. Warwick had control of the first half, holding extensive possession. However Ivybridge were simply too strong and committed in defence leaving the score at half-time 5-0.

Warwick started the second half with determination and attacking play, and fly half Finn Smith executed a fine kick and chase, diving down under the post to give Warwick a 12-0 lead, after scrum half Jack Aston converted. Ivybridge responded with a converted try, bringing the score to 12-7.

A great line from Harry Spencer gave Warwick a further try, duly converted and the lead restored to 19-7.

The opposition weren't giving up by any means and a further try in the corner from Ivybridge saw the score at 19-12.  At this crucial period Warwick stepped up, scoring two tries in three minutes, through openside Jack Forsythe. Aston landed both conversions turning the score to a decent 33-12.

Time was nearly up but two further tries from Ivybridge took the final score to 33-22.
