A Day in the Life

Kissing it Better's Art and Poetry Competition

Last Friday 11 winners from the Kissing it Better Art and Poetry competitions met for a safe distance photo outside Warwick Hospital with Fiona Burton, Director of Nursing.

Six weeks ago, Warwickshire-based charity Kissing it Better launched an art and poetry competition, so that young people could use their creativity to enhance the lives of older people.

11 winners from the Kissing it Better Art and Poetry competitions met for a safe distance photo outside Warwick Hospital with Fiona Burton, Director of Nursing. These included 6 Warwick Independent Schools Foundation pupils:

  • Georgia Seamer (WPS) Freddie Seamer (JS) 1st and 2nd prize Art (age 7-10)
  • Lucy Jennings (KHS) 1st prize Art (age 11-14)
  • Jacob Neal (JS) 1st prize Poetry (age 7-10)
  • Taha Elamin (Warwick) and Gigi Thomas (KHS) joint 1st prize (age 15-18)

In addition Georgia and Freddie made fantastic cakes that were given to nurses on wards with older patients.

The pictures and poems will be distributed across SWFT hospitals/care homes and will be hugely appreciated.
