Youth Theatre Workshop Assistant x 2

2 hours per week for 38 weeks per year

Hourly Rate of £10.84 per hour

The Warwick School drama department has run a Saturday morning extracurricular Youth Theatre for a number of years.

As of 2019, we have widened the membership across Warwickshire, meaning Warwick School students will work alongside other local students to create a dynamic and diverse new working group. We hope that this new phase of development will bring opportunities for holiday artistic residencies, full scale main stage productions, and eventually the chance to specialise in areas of expertise such as technical theatre, directing, and arts management, amongst others. We will be applying for funding so that young people from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds can attend these weekly sessions on a bursary scheme.

To aid in the next stage of our development we are looking to take on workshop assistants who have experience in supporting youth work, and feel confident in leading occasional games and activities. The workshop assistant will be present in weekly term-time sessions on a Saturday morning, and potentially for additional rehearsals. The assistants should have some experience in supporting arts activities within educational or community settings.
