The English Department has enjoyed delivering a series of stretch and challenge lectures on some of our GCSE set texts this year. These have been well-attended by our superb pupils and there are plenty more to come in 2025...

Once we welcome Year 11 back from their trial examinations, the weekly lectures on offer will include explorations of 'The War of the Worlds', Musical motifs in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and the role of place in our 'Songs of Ourselves' poetry anthology.

Pupils wishing to join us for a Cogito Lecture will find us in E7 at Monday lunchtimes, with lectures starting at 1.10pm.
