Cancelled Fixtures
The Director of Sport will determine whether fixtures may continue if there are adverse weather conditions. Information on cancellations will be available on the school sports website.
Off Games
All pupils are expected to attend games, if they are not able to take part in games for any reason, parents should provide a note to their child which should be given to the member of staff supervising ‘Off Games’. If a pupil is going to be unfit for games for a period of time, parents are asked to contact the school.
Mouthguards
Every pupil is required to have a mouthguard for their safety during a range of games throughout the year, including hockey and rugby. Our preferred partner, OPRO mouthguards, will be in school on Tuesday, 5 September 2023 from 9.00am to 4.00pm. On this day the OPRO dental team will take impressions of all pupils who want to be fitted and the finished mouthguards will then be delivered back to your home address approximately 7 working days later. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and have your child fitted please place an order with OPRO on their website www.oproschools.com.
If you would prefer not to attend the visit but to order a home impression kit to take the impression at home then this can also be arranged when ordering. We would recommend ordering your kit at the start of the summer holidays so you can have your mouthguard made before the start of the academic year.
- OPRO offer a number of benefits with their service:
- Prices start from £40.99
- Our exclusive school design mouthguard is priced at £45.99 and can be found on the website
- Buy one mouthguard and get a second mouthguard for half price
- Your child will receive a complimentary Snap-Fit mouthguard at the dental visit so they have something to use whilst they wait for their Custom mouthguard to be delivered
- Each mouthguard comes with a dental warranty which covers up to £22,500
- Your child’s name and the school name will be included on the mouthguard and case
- OPRO store all of the models in case a replacement is required
- All mouthguards carry the CE mark
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and have your child fitted please place an order with OPRO on their website. Please ensure you enter your child’s Form for the academic year 2023/24 in the ‘Year Group/Class Name’ when placing your order on OPRO’s website. Once you have placed your order and received your order confirmation please contact OPRO’s customer care team on 01442 430690 or email info@oprogroup.com to book onto the dental visit in school.
