Top things to look out for on your tour of the Junior School
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Warwick Junior School for our upcoming Open Evening on Friday 3 July.
Throughout the evening, you will have the chance to meet Head of the Junior School, Mr John Bond, speak to our dedicated teachers and staff about our excellence in teaching and learning, and discover more about our community.
Each year, one of the highlights of the evening for many parents is the pupil-led tour. The tours provide a unique opportunity to find out first-hand what life at Warwick Junior School is like whilst exploring our outstanding facilities and grounds.
Ahead of the event, we have compiled a list of some of the key facilities around the site that you won’t want to miss:
Science laboratory
O
ur boys have plenty of opportunities to develop experimental techniques and learn to use a range of scientific apparatus in our bespoke, purpose-built science laboratory — an exceptional feature for a primary school. This is especially beneficial for pupils in Years 5 and 6, who receive specialised science lessons. The light and airy space features dedicated areas for both theory and practical work, creating a hands-on learning environment that enriches the educational experience and brings scientific concepts to life.
Sports facilities
O
ur sports fields are hard to miss. With a World Rugby-certified floodlit 3G pitch, two superb full-sized Tiger Turf hockey pitches, tennis courts, and pitches for cricket and other sports, our first-class sports pitches enable our boys to excel in whichever sports interest them.
Alongside these pitches, our site also boasts a large sports hall with climbing wall, gymnasium, and squash courts, along with a heated 25m swimming pool.
Our school has an outstanding reputation for sport, with pupils going on to individually and collectively represent themselves and teams at regional and national level, and we believe that our outstanding sports facilities play a large role in facilitating high-quality performance and enabling this success.
Computer suites
The Junior School has two fully equipped IT suites which are up to date with modern kit. Pupils will be able to stay up to date with the digital world and enhance their digital skills. In addition, many of our extra-curricular clubs are tailored to enhancing the digital skillset such as coding, animation and young engineers.
Library
The
library at the heart of the Junior School is a welcoming space for boys to visit during break and after school. The library is filled with books and resources from fiction to non-fiction, allowing for the supporting of reading and independent learning. The school timetable includes one library lesson every week.
Music School

The Music School is a shared space between Warwick Junior and Warwick Senior pupils. The school is home to a variety of classrooms, teaching spaces, private lesson rooms and a recital room. With our strong musical offering, there is something for everyone. During your tour, feel free to ask instrument specific questions to our specialist music team.
