Your admissions journey at Warwick Senior School

When you think of Admissions into Warwick School, you may think about submitting your application ahead of the deadline — but that is just one stage of the journey. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions that you make as parents, and your journey to making that decision may take several forms.

Whether you want to get in touch, see the school for yourself, or are interested in applying and want to know what’s next, here’s what your admissions journey with us may look like:

Getting in touch

Whether you have moved to the area and just found out about the school, already know about us and want to know more, or simply have some queries about the school or admissions process, our friendly Warwick School Registrar, Mrs Lisa Craine, is on hand. You can get in touch with Mrs Craine on 01926 776400 or by email.

Visiting us

We would be delighted to welcome you to Warwick School. Throughout the academic year, there are several opportunities to visit us at one of our open events.

For those looking to join us from September 2027 onwards, some key dates for your diary include:

  • Year 5 Taster Morning (for current Year 5s looking to join us in Year 7) on 21 March 2026
  • Whole School Open Evening on 3 July 2026
  • Whole School Open Morning in September 2026

Whilst each of these events differ slightly, each of them will give you the opportunity to hear from Head Master, Mr James Barker, explore our outstanding facilities, and see for yourself what makes our school so special.

Closer to the date of the event, you will be able to book a place via our website. In the meantime, please register your interest in our open days, and we will let you know once booking is open.

If you are unable to attend the open events, or simply want to visit us separately, we are also happy to accommodate individual private tours throughout the year. Private tours can be arranged by contacting Mrs Craine

Submitting your application

After getting in touch, visiting us, and likely numerous conversations around the dinner table, you may be ready to submit your application to enrol your son with Warwick School.

To apply to Warwick Junior School, please complete the application form. The deadline for applications typically falls in the October of the year prior to entry, but please keep an eye out for the exact date for your year of entry closer to the time.

It is at this stage that you can express your interest in a bursary or scholarship if you so wish. At the same time, a non-refundable registration fee of £120 (£100 + 20% VAT) is required.

Once we have received your application form, Mrs Craine will be in touch and invite your child to complete an entrance assessment.

Sitting the entrance assessment

Our Senior School entrance assessments typically take place in November, in the immediate weeks after the application deadline.

Applicants will sit an assessment that assesses their current ability in Maths and English, with the latter assessment being split into reading and writing assessments.

Receiving your offer

Depending on assessment performance, your child will receive an offer of a place at the school.

Offers are typically sent out before the New Year after the entrance assessment takes place.

Joining the Warwick family

You can accept your offer, and confirm your son’s place at the school, by returning the acceptance paperwork together with the deposit.

You and your son then become part of the Warwick family, not just for the time that you are with us — for life.
