Ignis Charity Day for Guide Dogs for the Blind

On Friday, Ignis held their charity day to raise money for their chosen charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind.

To start the week, members of Ignis told the school about their chosen charity in Monday’s assembly, and started to build excitement for range of events taking place at the end of the week. The boys were also visited by Johnny, Mr Lewis’ puppy, who is training to be a guide dog.

The charity day on Friday was full of fun and excitement - boys came to school dressed as dogs and took part in a range of activities, such as making jam sandwiches blindfolded, playing 'name the dog', and showing their creative skills in an art competition - all while donating money.

The day ended with a movie night organised by Year 6, where the boys watched the showing of ‘Show Dogs’ and ate human biscuits in the shape of a bone!

It was a great day for a fantastic cause, and we look forward to confirming the final figure of how much money was raised for Guide Dogs shortly.
