Ignis Charity Day information

Today the boys will be told all about the exciting plans for the Ignis Charity day. Back in September, Finn, the Ignis House Charity Representative,  put together a convincing case for the house to support Cancer Research UK. He was thrilled when his charity was chosen.

Please help Finn and the other members of Ignis to raise as much money for this worthwhile cause as possible by sending in any unwanted toys, books, soft toys, puzzles or games to school next week (they can be used, but not damaged or broken). We are going to use these to host our 'Market for a Cure,' where the boys will have an opportunity to buy items, grabbing themselves a bargain and raising money. The items can be given to Year 6 boys via your son or handed into the office.

We will also be having a cake stand in our market, so we would be grateful if boys could bring in cakes on the morning of Friday, 27 June so that they can be sold in the market. Any cakes should be taken to the library - as usual, no nuts and if the cakes are home-made please supply the ingredients.

Other ways we are raising money is by asking the boys to pay £1 to come to school in something pink, blue or spotted (in line with the Cancer Research logo) instead of their school uniform. There will also be an exciting penny line where we will try to make the longest line of one pence and two pence pieces the school has ever seen!

Thank you in advance for the support you give the school with charity events, and we're sure this will be as equally successful as usual!
