My chess success and winning gold for Warwickshire

This past Sunday, I travelled to Birmingham to compete in the Chess Mega Final, and it was an amazing day! Out of six intense rounds, I managed to win five games, which made me the second-highest scoring boy in my entire U10 section and secured me a silver medal. Because of my score, I have officially qualified for the Giga Final! I am so excited to keep practising because my next big chess adventure will be taking me all the way to Scotland to compete against the best players in the country.

I also had an amazing day playing chess in the Chess County competition for the Warwickshire team. Even though I was the only person from my school there, I played really well and stayed focused.
I am so happy because I won first place in the Under 9 Minor Final. I got a big gold trophy and a certificate to bring home. It was a long day of matches, but being the champion makes me feel very proud.
