My visit to the Imperial War Museum

Last weekend I went to the Imperial War Museum in London with my family. It was really interesting and a bit surprising too. The museum is all about wars, like World War I and World War II. My favourite part was seeing the inside of a Lancaster Bomber and a Supermarine Spitfire. There were also big tanks, ration books and gas masks so we could see what life was like during the war.

I learned a lot at the museum and had a really goodtime. I would recommend a visit.

On 8 May, we celebrated 80 years since VE Day. VE Day is when we remember the end of World War II in Europe. There were lots of special events all over the country where we can celebrate the victory and remember how important peace is.
