Year 8 Classics trip to Wales

On Monday, 30 June, Year 8 spent a day exploring the Roman military barracks, bathhouse and amphitheatre in Caerleon near Cardiff.

The day included a lesson with staff dressed as Roman soldiers, a walk around two museums, and the exploration of a reconstructed barrack block. This gave the pupils a real sense of what life must have been like for a soldier stationed in Roman Britain and the boys had a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
