Superb performance of The Pied Piper

Boys in Year 7 and Year 8 performed superbly well in our recent production of The Pied Piper.
In this specially written version, the playwright wanted to turn the rather grim basic story into something comic, fun, and ultimately uplifting. Performances from the whole cast certainly achieved this and audiences were delighted by the clever word-play and theatrical innovations that saw the rats leap enthusiastically into the water, enticed by the Piper's music.
The traditional and problematic loss of the children at the end was resolved with a clever device showing they went on to better and happier lives than they would have had in Hamelin.
Outstanding performances were enjoyed by the whole company. Many congratulations to everyone involved!
