Call for volunteer interviewers

We are inviting professionals from across a range of industries to take part in this year’s Upper Sixth Mock Speed Interviews, which will take place on Thursday, 16 October 2025 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm here at Warwick School.

This annual event is a key part of our Sixth Form Careers Programme and plays a vital role in preparing students for the next stage of their journey, whether that be university, apprenticeships, or the world of work.

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response from our pupils wanting to take part and so we are currently seeking more volunteer interviewers with experience in the following sectors:

  • Business
  • Finance
  • Property
  • Design
  • IT and software engineering

The purpose of the evening is to provide students with:

  • Experience of an authentic interview situation
  • Practice in answering interview questions effectively
  • An opportunity to build confidence
  • A platform to demonstrate their skills and aspirations

Event details:

  • Date: Thursday, 16 October 2025
  • Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
  • Location: Warwick School

Each volunteer will conduct three short interviews, each lasting 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute feedback session. Interviewers will be provided with a copy of each student’s CV, a feedback form, and a sample list of interview questions (though you are welcome to use your own).

Format of the evening:

  • 6.30pm – Arrival and Welcome
  • 7.00pm – Introduction by Mr J. Barker (Head Master)
  • 7.05pm – Interview Format Explained by Mr N. Tapper-Gray
  • 7.10pm – Interviews Begin (with bells marking each session)
  • 8.30pm – Event Close

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping our students prepare for life beyond school in a supportive and realistic setting. We greatly value the experience and insight that professionals bring to this event.

How to get involved:

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Mr Noel Tapper-Gray, Head of Careers and Volunteering.

We will do our best to match you with students whose interests align with your area of expertise.

Thank you in advance for your support in helping our students grow in confidence and prepare for the future.
