Celebrating EPQ presentation event
On 25 March, we proudly hosted our sixteenth Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) presentation poster event. Fifty pupils exhibited their perseverance in completing this qualification, which requires them independently to plan, develop, realise and reflect on an independent project.
Warwick Hall was filled with creativity and pupils worked hard to present complex ideas in a way that was engaging and accessible to an audience of non-experts, demonstrating strong communication skills as well as deep subject knowledge. With impressive confidence, they fielded a wide range of spontaneous questions about their research, speaking with clarity and maturity.
The diversity of topics was a testament to pupils' curiosity. Projects explored subjects as varied as the use of generative AI in hedge funds, the Glorious Revolution, major nuclear accidents, football hooliganism and the 1973 oil crisis - just a small sample of the breadth on display. Each pupil offered a thoughtful and honest reflection on the highs and challenges of their research journey, balancing well‑earned pride with genuine humility.
Undertaking an EPQ demands independence, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility. Every participant should be congratulated on their achievements; the quality of work on show was a testament to their dedication and intellectual ambition.
