The final Thursday evening of term saw pupils come together for a memorable musical finale before the Easter break, as Warwick School hosted its inaugural Gala Concert.
The programme showcased an impressive breadth of musical talent, with performances from Brass Company, Brass Ltd., Premier Strings, String Orchestra, FSE (featuring Charlie and Nathaniel as soloists), Supertonics, Clarinet Ensemble and Saxophonics. Audiences enjoyed a rich and varied selection of music, including much‑loved soundtracks from the silver screen.
The concert concluded in spectacular style as the Warwick School Philharmonic Orchestra joined forces with the Chapel Choir, Warwick Warblers, and the entire Year 7 cohort for a rousing medley from Wicked!. The performance was a fitting finale - full of energy, enthusiasm and unity - and a wonderful illustration of the school’s strong sense of community, bringing together pupils from across all year groups in a moment of shared excitement. All the boys involved are to be warmly congratulated for their commitment, effort and musicianship.
The evening also provided an opportunity to say farewell to a number of Upper Sixth leavers who have contributed enormously to the musical life of the school during their time at Warwick. Our sincere thanks go to Ben, Theo, Ed, Will, Zac, Nathaniel, Huw, James, Fred, Nick, Kaiser, Jasper, Thomas, Harry, Seb and Charlie, all of whom were involved in the concert.
As they move on from Warwick at the end of the year, we hope they will take their music with them into the next chapter of their lives, inspiring others in the new communities they join. They have played a significant role in shaping Warwick’s strong musical tradition and have been outstanding role models for younger musicians across the school.
