The U12B team won their county cup competition last week, with Henry scoring the only goal in the final.

The U12A team won their county cup beating KES Birmingham in the final and then after scoring 30 goals with none conceded in their group games at the Midlands finals. They played KES Birmingham again in the semi-final but could not convert their chances and lost 3-2 on penalty strokes after a 0-0 draw. A frustrating end to some quite incredible performances over the two days.

The U14A team won their county cup some weeks back and after wins against Repton and Denstone and a draw against Uppingham they lost out narrowly to eventual winner, Solihull in the semi-final. Another excellent achievement.

The U13A lost 4-3 in the ¼ final of the Independent Schools Cup to Bedford School this week but are hopeful for a bounce back on Monday in their Midlands Regional Finals.

The 1st XI had a long but enjoyable day out at Southgate Hockey Club playing in the warm-up game for the annual Oxford v Cambridge Varsity Match. They faced a talented Tonbridge School and in an exciting game, put in one of the best performances of the season to draw 3-3 and share the trophy. They then enjoyed the rest of the day Watching the Ladies and Men’s Varsity games featuring Old Warwickian George Holding.

Finally, congratulations to Ben S who spent last weekend trialling with the Scotland U21 squad and is now waiting to hear if he has a place in the training squad. And, Mr Wade has once again been selected to represent England O45’s in the Home Nations and European Championships this summer at Southgate Hockey Club and Nottingham Hockey Centre.
