French trip to Paris

Pupils from Year 8, 9, and 10 returned from a brilliant four days in Paris on Wednesday, 2 July.
Despite the challenges of the European heat wave, bringing top temperatures in Paris to 39 degrees Celsius, the boys and staff enjoyed some excellent outings across the city.
The highlights of the trip include: a walk past the iconic Louvre pyramids, through the Jardin des Tuileries, over the Place de la Concorde, up the Champs-Elysées, a cinema-themed walking tour on the cobbled streets of the hilly artistic quarter of Montmartre, admiring the Sacré Cœur, stopping by Paris' only vineyard (no tasting!), a visit to the Centre Pompidou for views over the city, a behind the scenes tour of the Stade de France, a river cruise along the Seine, views over to the Eiffel Tower from Trocadéro, and a visit to the newly-renovated Cathédrale de Notre Dame!
On top of that, the boys are now professional métro users, navigating the system with Parisian elegance! The Warwick School boys certainly propped up Paris' ice cream economy, with the phrase "Une glace s'il vous plaît" heard at almost every street corner.
