An outstanding term of fundraising at Warwick School

With the term now having come to a close, we can reflect on what was an outstanding term of fundraising at Warwick School. Serving the Community is one of our four key strategic pillars, and this has ethos has truly been embodied by our students and staff with several fundraising events and campaigns since the start of September:
Charity Art Auction with King's High School
On Friday, 21 November, a group of students from King's High School and Warwick School and hosted a Charity Art Auction raising funds for Kissing It Better, a charity dedicated to ending the isolation of old age by bringing generations together. In total, the event raised nearly £5000!
Our schools have proudly supported Kissing It Better for over 15 years, from volunteering at Warwick Hospital on Friday afternoons, to collaborative art projects that have transformed wards and care spaces.
The auction featured 69 lots, including more than 50 works donated by over 20 professional artists, alongside a wonderful selection of student pieces and contributions from Old Warwickians, Old Girls, and teachers — all auctioned off by professional auctioneer, James Mattin.
Impressively, the event was a student-led initiative, having been organised and set up by King's High School and Warwick School Prefects — showcasing an impressive sense of vision and determination, alongside a commendable desire to serve the community.

An outstanding Movember fundraising effort
Throughout the course of last month, students took part in a variety of challenges and activities to raise money for Movember.
The month included a variety of individual and collective challenges, the Charity Committee's 'Dough for a Bro' initiative, and visits from Movember ambassadors which reinforced why the charity's work is so important.
A highlight from the month was Warwick's first ever Mo-Marathon, which saw 252 boys each running 1km with their houses, collectively covering the distance of six full marathons. Over the course of the month, students and staff raised over £22,000 — smashing our ambitious £15,000 target!

Foodbank Fridays
Alongside the Art Auction and Movember fundraising, students have continued to support Warwick District Foodbank with their Foodbank Fridays initiative, which was relaunched in September by the Warwick Voice Charities and Fundraising Team and sees a different House each week bring in their donations for the local foodbank.
The importance of giving back is perhaps no more pertinent than at this time of year, and we are delighted that our students have shown such willingness to be positive contributors to society — both within our local community and beyond.
