The boys are working extremely hard in preparation for the concert and I can promise a wonderfully varied, inspiring evening full of the highest musical quality. Please save the date, invite friends and family and spread the word far and wide.
Whilst the event will be un-ticketed, to get an idea of numbers, please could you email Miss Emily Hooker to reserve any seats by Friday, 14 March.

For the college evensong, they performed Brewer’s canticles in F and Durufflé’s Ubi caritas.
Earlier this week, Mr Tibbitts (Head of Brass & Music Outreach), an Old Warwickian and current member of teaching staff, was proudly invited along as a special guest lecturer to the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) – a world-class institution providing exceptional and specialist educational tuition to musicians, actors and stage managers of the future. The new £57 million teaching and performance building is the first of its kind in the digital age and is the perfect state of the art facility for RBC students to flourish within.
Mr Tibbitts delivered a fun, engaging and motivational lecture titled ‘facilitating whole class ensembles’ to students in their 4th year Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Master’s degree. The purpose of this session was to equip the students with the relevant expertise, real life experiences and confidence to hopefully pursue a career in Music Education upon graduating at the end of this academic year. In addition to this, Mr Tibbitts shared his exciting and successful career as a Professional Freelance Musician gigging and touring all over the country. A few performance highlights include being a featured soloist live on BBC2 in the presence of King Charles and the Queen Consort, numerous appearances at the infamous Glastonbury festival and touring with the England Cricket Team.
As an RBC alumnus achieving a 1st Class Hons, Mr Tibbitts felt privileged to share his musical journey since graduating in 2016. It was a wonderful and prestigious opportunity to inspire and encourage the next generation of performers and educators to follow their love and passion for music.

We recently installed ATC simulation software that allows our cadets to try out radar approach control.
The software offers the opportunity to learn how approach controllers separate and sequence aircraft for arrivals into busy airports. Cadets must descend, vector and speed-control arriving aircraft as a continuous flow of traffic whilst maintaining suitably safe separation of all aircraft.
