It has been a busy few weeks in the Food Science department. The GCSE boys have been brushing up on their butchery and patisserie skills. They have de-boned chickens and produced dishes using the different parts of the chicken, whilst learning about cooking on a budget.
Huge congratulations to our U13A hockey team who won the Warwickshire County Cup last Thursday.
Warwick School’s top physicists in the Upper Sixth were amongst 3,700 students from 550 schools in the UK to participate in the annual Senior British Physics Olympiad competition.

At Warwick School, we believe it is important to have a strong sense of community and seek to improve the world around us. We instil a duty of service amongst pupils so they become selfless leaders and make a positive impact on the world around them.
Zane has shown this in abundance, as on Christmas morning, Zane completed a half marathon independently for Breast Cancer UK in memory of his wonderful grandma who sadly lost her life to breast cancer in 2023.
We are delighted to celebrate the success of some of our Upper Sixth musicians, in gaining places or offers from a range of prestigious conservatoires and universities. No fewer than eight pupils have received offers – an unprecedented number.
Many congratulations to the Upper Sixth students who have received offers from Oxford and Cambridge.

This week we have been engaging with two great webinars hosted by Dr Pooky Knightsmith. The focus of these webinars has been: How to be a Neurodivergent Friendly School.
Today is Lunar (or Chinese) New Year, which signifies the end of winter and the beginning of a new year. It also marks the start of the lunisolar calendar, and for 2025, the arrival of the Year of the Snake.
Warwick School pupils have been selected for a county place following this year's Warwickshire Schools Cross Country County Championship.

This week, we were delighted to welcome some Old Warwickians to school to share their advice and experience.
Year 9 and Year 10 German pupils, spent the first four days of the Christmas break in Aachen in Germany to visit the Christmas markets.
