  • U12 Hockey - Warwickshire County Champions

    Published 19/03/25

The U12 hockey team triumphed in the annual Warwickshire County Tournament last Friday, emerging as county champions.

Their campaign began with a 1-0 victory over King Edward's School, Birmingham, setting a positive tone for the competition. Despite a hard-fought 3-0 loss against Solihull, that didn't reflect their determination and the team bounced back impressively. They secured a 1-0 win against Princethorpe and followed it up with a 2-0 victory over Bishop Vesey. With Solihull drawing two of their matches, Warwick’s overall points tally secured them the championship title.

The team have now advanced to the Midlands Finals on Wednesday, 19 March. Well done to all of the boys involved!

  • Sponsored walk for Ukraine

    Published 13/03/25

In 2022, soon after Russia invaded Ukraine, pupils and staff at Warwick School and King’s High School, ably supported by the CCF, undertook a long-distance Charity Walk, raising funds to purchase two ambulances for service on the Ukrainian Frontline.

In 2025, as suffering enters its fourth year, and with international politics less stable than it has been for 80 years, we are once again keen to do something positive to acknowledge the heroic Ukrainian resistance and show our solidarity with them.

31 boys and girls from Warwick School and King’s High School have signed up to walk over twenty miles on Sunday 23 March to raise funds for emergency humanitarian support on the Ukrainian frontline.

They are being joined by the Heads of both Warwick School and King’s High School together with ten teachers. Two of our Ukrainian pupils will also be walking with us,

If you would like to support the cause, please donate here.

    Many thanks for your support.

  • Rockademy - July 2025

    Published 13/03/25

Rockademy is back for its twelfth outing! The week-long course provides an environment for guitarists, keyboardists, bass guitarists, drummers, singers and blowers to come together with the intention of making great music that quite simply rocks.

Each band, of up to six members, will be supervised by an expert tutor, under whose guidance students will be coached in the performance of classic rock songs, compose their own masterpiece, offered rehearsal and performance advice, encouraged to try their hand at an instrument other than their own, and generally have great fun making music. There will also be sessions for all students to come together and share their love of music. The course tutors are all professional musicians, schooled in rock and pop, CRB-checked, and keen to share their knowledge and experience with aspiring young rockers.

The course will run from 14-18 July, 9.30–3.30pm, with a concert on the Friday evening at 7pm. Students should bring a packed lunch with them as school catering will not be provided. The cost for the week will be £305 per student, payable by BACS four weeks in advance of the course.

There are places for up to twenty-five students of the following instruments: Electric Guitar, Keyboard/Piano, Bass Guitar, Drums, Voice, Trumpet, Saxophone and Trombone.

If you would like to reserve a place, please complete the application form and email it to m.lloyd@warwickschools.co.uk. The course is most effective when bands are formed with friends, so please spread the word.
