Warwick's GCSE Success
Warwick School is celebrating fantastic GCSE results with 78% of grades being awarded at A*A and 95% A*/B which is exceptional and their best result since 2010.
Jeremy Worlock, George Holding, Matthew Cocker, Zakary Milstein and Alexander Sampson all achieved 11 or more A*s which is outstanding, 9 boys received a clean sweep of A* only grades and 43 students scooped only A* or A grades.
Science and Maths results were again fantastic: Biology 94% A*A, Chemistry 96% A*A, Physics 92% A*A and Maths 88% A*A.
Head Master, Mr Lock said, “I am very proud of our boys and these outstanding results. Scoring close to 80% A*/A for the third year in succession is a very significant achievement and I must commend all our pupils on the way they approached these examinations as well as their teachers and families who have supported them so well. We inevitably focus on academic outcomes at this time, yet it is particularly pleasing that these results have been achieved in the context of a rounded and full education, which prizes academic success alongside endeavour and enjoyment in the arts, in sports and wider opportunities that will help forge the skills and character that they will need to lead happy and fulfilled lives.”
