2. Excellence in Teaching & Learning

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." W.B. Yeats

By developing our staff to become outstanding professionals, Warwick School provides inspirational teaching, creating a learning environment where every pupil is challenged intellectually and thrives academically.

  • To create a curriculum that challenges pupils and that is flexible enough for students to become creative, critical thinkers who will thrive in the future
  • To create a culture of sharing excellence both within the school and nationally
  • To embed a culture of reflection and responsibility in learning
  • To capture developments in technology to enhance the learning experience
  • To further develop how we collate, share and act on the information about each pupil’s unique abilities to allow each pupil to reach their potential.

Maximising every pupil’s academic achievement through excellent teaching and learning is central to the Warwick Way. Nurturing and developing pupils as learners is essential to ensure they thrive in the classroom and flourish beyond the school gates.

We expect Warwick School students to realise their goals of academic success and progress to top universities.  Equally, there is an ongoing need to recruit and retain outstanding classroom practitioners and to continuously develop our teaching.

Consequently, teachers and pupils are inspired to aim for higher things and as a community we celebrate and enjoy the learning process as well as the outcome.
