    No doubt our Year 6 boys are feeling glad to have finished the entrance exam. We were delighted to discover that a record number had been called for scholarship interview and to attend the scholarship day when the boys are put through their paces by the Senior School's academic departments. The boys' success is testament to all the high-quality teaching over the last four years. We look forward to hearing from the Senior School when scholarships for September are announced.

    Our assembly theme this week echoed the message across most schools with the start of anti-bullying week. It was good to see so many boys coming into school dressed in odd socks. Just as all the sock combinations were different across the school, the message was that people are similarly unique and differences should be celebrated.

  • Message from Mr Hymer: 11 November 2022

    On Wednesday we hosted our Remembrance Service attended by many of our Year 5 parents. It is always a most poignant reminder of why we fall silent and remember those who served their country and gave their lives during our recent wars. Etched on the walls are the names of the young men from Warwick School who gave their lives in service of their country. It is impossible to read the list and not to appreciate the most profound impact the news of their deaths must have had on the school community. The long-standing teachers of that time would have taught many of those who were killed whilst serving. Each and every loss must have been heartfelt. It is also important that boys experience and learn the symbolism and pageantry associated with Remembrance, including the laying of wreaths and playing of the Last Post.

    It was good to see the boys returning refreshed and ready for the second half of the term. Judging from my conversations with the boys, they have enjoyed some interesting experiences over the two-week break.
